Fall is finally here, and your dog can finally enjoy the cool weather. These five easy dog treat recipes will include ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen, so you don’t need to worry about venturing out in the cold. These tasty recipes are so yummy that you will want to have a treat! I hope you enjoy making them as much as your pup will enjoy eating them!

 

Heavenly Cinnamon Treats

Cinnamon Dog Treat

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of oats
  • 2 apples
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grind the oats into a fine powder using a food processor and do the same with the apples to make them into a sauce texture. First add the oats and cinnamon into a large mixing bowl and then add the apples and honey. Mix ingredients until you have a dough consistency. You can use cookie cutters or mold the treats into small circles and put them in the heated oven for 15 minutes.

Pumpkin Treat

Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dog Treat

Ingredients:

  • 1 cups of oats
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a food processor to finely grind oats into a powder. Add pumpkin puree and peanut butter into a large mixing bowl and mix until paste forms, and then add the finely ground oats and mix until dough forms. Roll out the dough onto a floured surface until it is a half-inch thick and cut into shapes with a cookie cutter. Let them cool and serve to your pup! Place the cookies onto the baking sheet and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 egg
  • 2/4 cup of apple sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 apple (chop into 2 cups) 

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a food processor to finely grind oats into a powder. Add pumpkin puree and peanut butter into a large mixing bowl and mix until paste forms, and then add the finely ground oats and mix until dough forms. One Ingredient Sweet Potato Pup Jerky
Sweet Potato Dog Jerky

Ingredients:

  • 2 sweet potatoes

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Wash the skins of the potatoes thoroughly and cut the ends off. Using a sharp knife, slice the potatoes into ¼ inch thick pieces and place slices onto a baking sheet. Place in oven and bake for 3 hours and flip halfway through. Turn off the oven and leave treats in as the oven cools for another hour. Take them out and let them cool for 30 min and serve!

Oatmeal Dog Treat

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 cups of flour

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Mix the wet ingredients together: water, oil, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. Mixing in the oatmeal and flour to form a dough (it will be more of a dryer dough than moist). Roll the dough onto a floured and flat surface and roll out until the dough is ¼ inch thick. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters and place onto a non-stick cookie sheet, and bake for 30-40 minutes. Let cool before serving, and enjoy!
