Testimonials From our Clients
If I could give Dr. Tufaro and staff 10 stars, I would. My sweet 15 year old pup reached a point where I had to make the heart breaking decision to say goodbye to him. I called Dr. Tufaro late at night after hours hysterical and he called me back right away to talk me through everything. Dr. Tufaro rearranged his whole day to handle this and he and his staff handled one of the saddest events of my life with the most compassion and professionalism. I am tearing up even thinking about it. I can never thank them enough for helping me through that ordeal. I will take all my future animals to Dr. T and ABC. Highly highly recommend.
I have been going to Dr. Tufaro since 2001, with many different pets, and he is the best vet I have ever found. I wish I could find a doctor like him to go to for my own care.
He is incredibly busy because he takes emergency cases. I don’t mind waiting in the waiting room because I am glad to know that if my pet has an emergency, I can get care at this clinic.
Dr. Tufaro is like an old-fashioned GP who doesn’t have a ton of equipment like many vet offices do, so he doesn’t rush to do a bunch of procedures to pay off the cost of Cat scanners, etc. He does thorough exams and all the necessary tests. Yes, vet care is expensive, but I feel he is reasonable compared to all the other vets in the neighborhood.
A lot of the complaints are about communication. A vet’s office is a complex place and sometimes details are hard to understand. I’ve always had my questions answered, and find the staff very patient with the often difficult human clients.
One little story to finish. Dr. Tufaro used to have a dachshund he brought to the office with him. Once I was there with my fearful dog, who had a very difficult life before I adopted her. He had to leave the room to look at some samples under a microscope, so he brought his sweet dog to keep my dog company. It was so thoughtful, and showed his understanding of my dog’s emotional needs.
I just hope Dr. Tufaro doesn’t retire before I stop having pets.
Can’t say enough great things about ABC Animal Hospital. The two experiences I’ve had have been nothing short of excellent.
The staff and Dr. Tufaro handled my cat Lexington with such care and compassion throughout his visit and check-up, and were able to give me a sense of what was going wrong with him. They were thorough and left no stone unturned when examining him, but were able to make him feel very comfortable (or as comfortable as an animal can be at the vet.
