At ABC Animal Hospital, your pet’s health comes first. Wellness care starts from their first visit with us and continues as they age. We will work with you as partners in your pets health care, at every stage in their lives.
Wellness Exams and preventative care
A wellness exam covers every body system and how you as an owner are managing your pet. Wellness exams give us a chance to evaluate the overall health of your pet. They also allow us to detect potential problems before they become serious, and even make your pet more familiar with our veterinary hospital, making future visits are easier on them and you.
microchipping
Microchip identification is a very reliable way to reunite pets with their owners when they are lost and provides you with peace of mind if they are lost. The chip is permanent, lasting the whole life of your pet. Your information has to be registered in an international data base with your pet’s bar code number so that you can be contacted if your pet ever becomes lost.
Surgery Services
We are able to provide spay, neuter, and soft tissue surgical services for your pet. Our certified doctor and technicians are trained in advanced monitoring to ensure your pet’s comfort.
TraVEL CERTIFICates – domestic and international
We understand that your pet is family, and that when you travel, you want them right by your side. As a federally accredited veterinarian practice, we can issue travel health certificates (Certificate of Veterinary Inspection) for your healthy cat or dog so that they may travel domestically or internationally with you. We will work with you to determine your needs, based on your travel destination.
nutritional counseling
Maintaining a healthy body weight is a very important aspect of a pet’s overall physical health. Good nutrition can help provide your pet with a happier, safer, and longer life. The best way to make sure your pet’s needs are being met is to consult with us about a specific diet for your pet and their lifestyle. Our staff will help your pet battle unhealthy weight gain and counsel you on the best nutritional options available.
Communication
We are available by phone at least 5 days a week to assist you with your needs and can also be reached by email. We also provide the option for automatic text/email reminders for any necessary annual, or 3 year vaccinations that your pets may need.
end of life care
We all wish our pets could live forever, but unfortunately there comes a time where we have to say goodbye. Please consult with us so we can determine the most humane and appropriate end of life care.
Full Service Hospital
We are a Full Service Hospital that works primarily with dogs and cats, providing regular check-ups, vaccinations, and lab work as needed. We also have a full surgery room, x-ray unit, and ultrasound to help diagnose your pets medical needs.
Vaccinations
There are some core vaccinations that will be required and beneficial to protecting your pet. There are also optional vaccines that may be specific to your pets needs. These vaccines are usually repeated every year, or every three years. We will provide you with a plan and necessary vaccinations based on your pets lifestyle and individual needs.
Dental services
Dental disease is one of the most common issues we see in dogs and cats, and can be easily alleviated by regular dental cleanings. This can be a painful disease that goes by unnoticed. We will provide a dental exam to determine if your pet would benefit from a dental cleaning.
Lab work
A blood or lab test allows us to learn information about your pet’s health which can only be found from collecting and analyzing a sample of blood. We also examine your pet’s urine and stool to look for issues such as parasites, infections, kidney, or bladder disease. We have both an in-house lab as well as excellent partnerships with state-of-the-art labs.
grooming
We provide full bathing, haircuts, nail clipping, anal sac expression, and special trims. It is important to have these procedures done regularly, as they help contribute to the health of your pet. Dogs and cats with nails that are too long are often uncomfortable, and unclean ears can lead to infections. A regular grooming will also enhance your pet’s skin and coat. Medicated baths are available for pets with sensitive skin or allergies as well.
In house Pharmacy
At ABC we have an in house pharmacy for many of the required medications for your dogs and cats. We can also write prescriptions and are conveniently located near local pharmacies.
In-House boarding
We provide in house boarding for dogs and cats. Especially beneficial to pets with medical needs and supervision but only available to our clientele.
